I have extreme cabin fever. Other than a quick trip to Walmart, and my mother-in-law's walk-through, I haven't been out anywhere all week long. I am going stir crazy! A person can only watch so much daytime television.

My mother-in-law closed escrow on her new mobile home today. I went with her and Tom on the final walk-through but skipped the paperwork part of the deal since I didn't think Brenna would sit still during something like that. They are moving in this weekend. ("They" meaning his mom and grandma both.) It will be nice not having to make long drives to Cheyenne any more. They'll only be 2 miles away!

Tuesday, January 16, 2001 - 10:51 p.m.

I'm annoyed with myself. Today I forgot to go out and buy AA batteries for my Itty Bitty Booklight so now I can't read in bed. Brenna sleeps in our room and the only place I enjoy reading is in bed. I'm totally hooked on Memoirs of a Geisha. Note to self: buy batteries tomorrow.

I was bad. I went back to Etoys and bought 6 more items. Those deals are just too awesome to pass up! We got the Blue's Clues talking fridge, toddler software, a huge alphabet playmat for the floor, some more plastic food (like we didn't buy enough at Christmas), magic sound blocks that make vehicle noises but only because she already has the animal sound blocks and adores them, plus a story book. A Mouse Called Wolf...Wolfgang Amadeus Mouse that is. Too cute!

Brenna isn't feeling well today. :-(
She's a little warm, congested with a constantly runny nose, not eating and occasionally barks out a little cough. She didn't sleep last night, hence neither did we. We finally got her to sleep a little while ago and she's finally napping. This is the third time she's ever been sick. Poor baby.

I won this today on Ebay. I thought it was incredibly cute and I've never seen it before. I'll hide it in the closet until Easter season and it'll be her Easter gift. We don't celebrate Easter itself though, so I guess I'll give it to her on the Spring Equinox or thereabouts.

Today we went to a birthday party for my friend Cari's daughter Sydney who turned 2 in late December. It was held at an indoor rec center type of place and everyone went swimming. Well, not everyone and certainly not me. I can't stand getting wet or being in the water. Tom got in some shorts and took Brenna in the kiddie pool for awhile. It was her first time in a pool. She seemed to enjoy herself immensely. She kicked her legs and paddled with her arms while Tom held her in the water, almost like she knew what she was supposed to do. Too cute! I'll have digital photos up tomorrow in her online journal. Right now, it's too late and I am just too lazy to do it.

I was thrilled to find out that the creators of The Sims, are working on a new game called Simsville! I just looked at the screenshots and game video at the site. It appears to be an interactive neighborhood unlike The Sims where a person can only work on one household at a time within a neighborhood of ten homes. I went over to Amazon and it can be pre-ordered for $44.99 and is expected to arrive on June 15. I don't think I'll pre-order it but I will definitely buy it.
