Friday, March 23, 2001 - 01:09 p.m. made from scratch Oh my, go see what Brenna's Grandma MeLinda sent. :-)
(for those who don't know, I am referring to my mother) Friday, March 23, 2001 - 10:58 a.m. Just realized I haven't been writing much here over the past two days. I've been busy I guess. Yesterday I ran errands all day and then we had dinner with my cousin who is leaving tonight, I think. This morning I had a playdate with a friend, then made lunch for Brenna and now she is conked out cold on the sofa. She fell asleep while watching Dora the Explorer. We also had three landscapers come to the house yesterday to give estimates for the backyard. It looks like we'll have one picked out and things could start happening as soon as next week. I am so excited to have a backyard, you just can't imagine. In anticipation, I bought a children sized patio set for B. It's just so cute. Two little Adirondack style chairs and a table. I can't wait to pick out a swingset sandbox and pool too.
Friday, March 23, 2001 - 10:55 a.m. A little while ago I opened up the refrigerator and a spider jumped out at me. He was attached to a string of web, dropped down to the ground and was gone in a flash. How he ended up in the fridge is a mystery. I just thought it was a pretty weird thing to happen.

 My new froggie named Flick.
Yesterday while shopping at Target I came across something called AquaBabies. Small species of fish or African dwarf frogs in small plastic containers fully decorated and ready to go. I admit, I fell for the marketing of these cute little things despite the hefty price tag of $15 for the small cube (pictured above) and $25 for a larger size. I went online after I got home in search of info on African dwarf frogs and found a Boycott AquaBabies website. I read through their site, and also read through the owner's manual that came with my cube. I am not really sure which side I am on in this issue but I don't honestly think the Aquababies people are being cruel. Their instructions are pretty thorough and they indicate not to put more than one frog in a container, etc. Still though, I am probably going to move my froggie into a larger fishbowl and buy him a friend. I figure watching two or more frogs together is probably more fun than just one. Who knows, maybe they'll have babies. :-) Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 09:35 a.m. I haven't been blogging much because I've found another new Sims site, Simorphor and just had to have all the lovely stones, lily pads, fountains and garden items for my Japanese garden home where the geisha live. :-) Also found a few new cool things at The Sims Resource both oriental and otherwise. I wonder just how many objects I can download into the game. I am way over a hundred at this point.
Monday, March 19, 2001 - 07:38 a.m. The new Livin' Around the Sims site shows a lot of promise. I was especially ecstatic to find numerous oriental objects including a lamp, dresser, nightstand, wall hangings and wallpaper. Now I can make my geisha house even prettier!
Monday, March 19, 2001 - 07:07 a.m. I really love the new look at Living In Hormoney. It's so Mary Engelbreit-ish.
Monday, March 19, 2001 - 07:06 a.m. I suppose I can live with the label "biolog" or "bioblog".
Monday, March 19, 2001 - 06:31 a.m. If anyone out there reading is a vegetarian family with young children, you might be interested in Vegetarian Baby & Child. I subscribed mostly for the yummy sounding kids recipes in hopes I can get my picky eater to expand her menu.
Sunday, March 18, 2001 - 07:48 p.m. made from scratch has a new photo update. Sunday, March 18, 2001 - 06:31 p.m. My cousin that lives in Omaha came to stay with us last night. He is spending the week in Denver attending classes. I hadn't seen him since his wedding in 1997. He went to check into the hotel today but we'll probably get together with him again later in the week.
