Friday, April 6, 2001 - 11:39 p.m. I survived the root canal. I knew I would, of course. However, not without some extreme anxiety, panic and pain. :-( It wasn't exactly "just like getting a filling" as some people told me, even the Endodontist before he started. Liars.
 Thursday, April 5, 2001 - 09:39 p.m. made from scratch has a new photo entry! Thursday, April 5, 2001 - 02:33 p.m. Like I wasn't already worried enough about getting a root canal.
Thursday, April 5, 2001 - 11:36 a.m. There are some changes on Nedstat. It looks like I have to click on a separate link now to browse where my visitors are coming from. Not a huge deal but I sure liked it better when all the info was contained on one single page.
Thursday, April 5, 2001 - 10:24 a.m. Keanu Reeves' girlfriend was killed in a tragic accident.
Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 02:15 p.m. It couldn't have arrived on a better day. The Sims House Party came unexpectedly from Amazon. I had forgotten I'd pre-ordered it a month ago.
Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 02:08 p.m. It seemed impossible to find a local dentist willing to look at my tooth today. I had to go to one in Boulder, but it's only 7 miles so not too bad. I was just happy that they were polite, calm and compassionate both over the phone and when I got there. All the others I called acted like I was intruding on their day, I even hung up on one of them. So anyway, they took an x-ray and the tooth is broken off down to the nerve. So I was referred to an endodontist for a root canal. Then I go back to the regular dentist for a crown. Yikes. What's funny is that I asked the dentist what exactly a root canal entails because I've never had one, and he then held up my x-ray saying "Oh yes you have, in both teeth in front of the cracked one!". Huh? How come no one told me? I guess it's a good thing. I don't remember any pain from those so it mustn't be too horrible. The soonest an endodontist can see me is the 17th. Until then I will have to live off mushy and liquid foods. Lucky me.
Even worse is that the technician looked in my mouth and was surprised to see how much work I need and how bad my gums are. I'll need multiple visits over the next few months. I already knew that, of course, but hearing it confirmed was so very depressing.
I was such a nervous wreck both before my appointment, and after. I hadn't eaten in 24 hours because of how stressed I was about having to go to a dentist. Then after the appointment I had to relax in my car doing deep breathing, even though they didn't even do anything today! The tech told me if I want valium before my future visits, all I have to do is ask and that someone needs to drive me. I'm seriously considering it.
Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 08:59 a.m. I somehow managed to break off part of a back molar. Yay. I hate the dentist more than anything in this world. It's been about 10 years since my last visit, where I needed endless work and was going every 2 weeks for months. I still need a lot of work done which is why I've procrastinated this long. Poor me.
Tuesday, April 3, 2001 - 10:10 a.m. Now that finishing our backyard is about to become a reality, I've been looking at online garden plans. They are all so pretty and creative. I do not have a green thumb at all, nor do I know jackshit about gardens. I'm trying to learn! I want a pretty yard!

 Monday, April 2, 2001 - 11:37 p.m.

I fixed up my Betta's new fish tank today with some plants and a little castle. I added in two little fish, my dwarf frog and yet another little dwarf frog I bought today. Click his photo to see an enlarged picture of my aquarium. And if you look closely in the upper right corner, you'll see a frog floating on the surface. :-) Monday, April 2, 2001 - 08:58 a.m. I readily admit that I sometimes peek at others' html source code for ideas or inspiration. However I do not think I have ever outright copied someone's html (excluding linkware templates), and if I do I usually tinker around with it so it becomes my own creation anyway and is nothing like the original. So anyway, I guess I was a little surprised to see someone who is using almost my same exact html (just changing colors pretty much) for areas of their website. I guess I'm not mad really, just taken aback a little. Mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery? Something like that.
Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 09:16 p.m. How many times can a person watch Toy Story 2 before losing her mind?
Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 09:55 a.m. Since I'm getting photo happy, I also took a pic of my new fish tank, an Eclipse System 3. I bought it yesterday and set it up this morning. It is a very small aquarium at only 3 gallons, perfect for me because I have to use bottled water. Our city water supply is just too disgusting, it becomes algae ridden within days. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to put in it. Either my Betta fish (currently in the bowl on the left), or a few small guppies and my little African clawed frog (currently in the cube to the right).
Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 09:53 a.m. I have my digital camera handy so snapped a pic of my little herb pots which I placed in the kitchen window above the sink. Aren't they cute? I planted sweet basil, dill, chives and cilantro.
Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 09:51 a.m. I've had a very productive morning, and I am definitely NOT a morning person. I did some laundry, picked up clutter, wiped down kitchen counters, planted some herbs and set up my new fish tank. Brenna is napping. It's about noon and I'm ready for lunch. Whew.
