Friday, April 13, 2001 - 09:46 a.m. made from scratch has new photos. Go see the awful haircut I inflicted upon my poor innocent child. Friday, April 13, 2001 - 08:27 a.m. For the first time in my life I went to a professional hockey game last night. My friend Jinx took me. The Avalanche beat the Canucks by one point at the very end of the game scored 5-4. I really enjoyed it even though I am not a sports person and any other pro game I've been to has made me almost fall asleep with boredom, especially baseball and football. Hockey rocks!
Friday, April 13, 2001 - 08:24 a.m. Yahoo turns to porno. (note: I'm not personally against pornography although it isn't something I enjoy either. To each their own. This news just surprised me a little bit.)
Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 01:43 p.m. This is a really great concept but I wouldn't even know where to begin.
Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 08:50 a.m. It started snowing last night and this morning we woke up to about 8 inches. It's still pretty bad outside with lots of wind. I heard on the news that the airport is closed. A friend of mine has her parents visiting from out of state and they were supposed to leave today. I called to check about Brenna's dance class this morning: cancelled. No surprise there. Tom said the roads are bad with people getting stuck here in our housing development which doesn't get plowed. I guess I'm stuck at home. I wouldn't mind so much if I had better groceries. I don't have enough stuff to make cookies or soup or anything fun.
Tuesday, April 10, 2001 - 10:07 p.m. Not that I'll switch from Pitas, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me, in their opinion, which method is best? Blogger, Greymatter or The Journalling Script? I'd love to hear from people who've used more than one of these but I'm open to any and all info! Thanks a bunch.

Monday, April 9, 2001 - 09:00 a.m. I went to see The Mexican last night with my friend Amy. I really loved the movie. It was more than I expected. I thought it would be just a silly romantic comedy but Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts aren't even together in the film until the very end and it is more like a dark comedy in some ways. It rather reminded me of a cross between two movies like Desparado and The Out of Towners, or something like that. Anyway, I thought it was great and I am not even a Julia Roberts fan.
Monday, April 9, 2001 - 08:59 a.m. I got my whiskey barrels yesterday! One for flowers and the other for a water garden. I can't set up the water garden until the backyard is finished though, maybe in a month or so. I cannot wait!
Saturday, April 7, 2001 - 09:13 p.m. We visited a nursery today to look at various types of trees for our backyard. Then we headed over to Home Depot to browse the garden department and pick up deck stain and supplies. I am so inspired this year to grow things and also make our yard lovely. I've wanted to in the past but never had energy or ambition to actually do it. I feel differently this year. I really really do. So today I bought two large pots, two huge bags of potting soil, a packet of cherry tomato seeds and two "ready to go" herb pots (spearmint and parsley). I'm already growing those 4 small pots in my kitchen too, plus have a couple more seed packs to plant.
One of the main things I intend to do is create a water garden in a half-barrel. I bought a liner for it today but not the actual barrel because there isn't enough room in the back of my Cherokee for it. We'll have to pick one up another day in the pick-up. I've been cruising websites devoted to this subject and couldn't be more excited to get started! I'll probably have to wait until our deck is completed, or maybe the yard too. May/June everything should be complete. Enjoy these links!
